Knight Frank have recently released this year’s September Quarter report for student accommodation trends, which indicates that the market has moved on at a dramatic pace since their report in June.
The report focuses on recently released 2015 enrolment data for full and part time domestic and international students studying in Australia and examines the links between the rate of this growth and the rate of student housing growth in Australia.
The report states that between 2014 and 2015 full time overseas student enrolments in Australia increased by 16,050 while only 5,611 purpose built student beds were brought to market. Indicating that Knight Frank believes the present rapid growth in the industry isn’t keeping pace with demand.
